Portugal is on an all-time high in tourism and foreign investment.

And it’s not only Lisbon, it’s everywhere. And although Algarve is not exactly the main attraction anymore, at least like it used to be, it still attracts a fair amount of people that want to settle in the south of Portugal. It’s not just vacation anymore, the goal is to build life frames.

That’s how we met our cients. From Germany to Portugal, with love, they want to create a home not just for them, but for others like them. They are people who see Portugal not just as fun and games, but as a way of living. And that’s why they are on a mission to create homes from ruins, in a hill in Almancil, to make not only their dreams come true, but other people’s dreams as well.

The set is a wide hill, with an ocean view. On it there are many ruins, and all of them will be transformed into a home. The goal is not to erase the ruin, but to enhance it, since all the buildings will have it as a base for the final project. Our mission is to design all the interiors, finishing’s and furniture’s.

Since the ruins are our starting point, every house will have a very rustic feeling to it, one that will blend with a modern approach, between detail and full scale. The aim is for the ruins to be the stars of the show. They have to glow, and so they won’t be forgotten, because that’s the connection that every house will have with the region and its history. And that will allow them to become part of it, effortlessly.

To enhance these old protagonists, the raw materials that will join them will be a mix of wood and cotton, from floor to furniture, to create a cozy environment. One that will make the future owners feel that they’ve been living there close to a lifetime. And that’s why we will design every interior, to make sure that this feeling doesn’t go away in any room. From the kitchen to the living room and the bedrooms, there will be something to enhance the rustic side of the house, but always with a contemporary feeling to it, to provide comfort.

It will be like coming back to that old house where your grandparents used to live, in a quiet old village, with friendly people. And everywhere there is a sense of history, either because you have old walls along the roads or ancient houses that were built on big rocks, reminding you of every happy moment that occurred. In each corner there is an old memory to be relived and new one to be built. All of this will be a feeling to be preserved, mixed with an opportunity to shape something new from scratch: a family and a life. All of this, with an ocean view.

That’s the way to create life frames.
